The incredible charitable and volunteer work of the Legion touches the lives of all fellow citizens.  Did you know...

• that the Legion is the largest developer of veteran and senior affordable and assisted living housing?

• that the Legion contributes significantly to medical research and special hospital equipment?

• that the majority of B.C. Family Physicians are trained through the UBC program sponsored by the Legion?

• that the Legion sponsors the majority of youth sports teas and youth organizations?

• that the Legion raises $21 million through gaming which is re-invested in community programs?

Although the Legion is well known for their service to veterans and their families, the same public awareness is not evident about the charitable work in the community, which covers an expanse of programs and services.

Within BC/Yukon Command, Legionnaires and the Ladies Auxiliary work tirelessly behind the scenes, striving to improve the quality of life for others.  With quiet pride and unspoken humility, the work of the Legion touches all citizens.  The Legion within BC/Yukon Command contributes over $3 million every year supporting health, social, educational and heritage programs, filling a void in essential community services.
